GECAS' AviaSolutions Consulting Business Signs MOU with Myanma Airways for Strategic Growth Plan

SINGAPORE, February 11, 2014 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced its AviaSolutions consulting business signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Myanma Airways, the flag carrier of Myanmar, to create and implement a strategic growth plan for the airline.

AviaSolutions will work with the airline's senior management on the project that includes an international expansion strategy utilizing the airline's newly leased Boeing narrow bodies to serve the business and tourism sectors.

GECAS announced it will lease six Boeing 737-800 models and four Boeing 737-8MAX models to Myanma Airways with deliveries beginning in 2015. The aircraft come from GECAS' existing order book with Boeing.
