GECAS announces delivery of new Boeing 777-200LRF to LAN Cargo

STAMFORD, CT, USA May12, 2009. -- GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) today announced the delivery of a new Boeing 777-200LRF to LAN CARGO to support the freight carrier's fleet expansion.

The 777-200LRF is equipped with the GE90 engine.  This is the first of two 777-200LRFs that GECAS will deliver to LAN CARGO this year.  

LAN Cargo is the cargo subsidiary of the Santiago de Chile based LAN Airlines.  The 777-200LRF comes from GECAS' existing order book with Boeing and joins a 767-300ERF that GECAS currently leases to the airline.  LAN CARGO and its respective cargo affiliates currently have a fleet of nine 767-300ERF  aircraft.  GECAS also leases a passenger 767-300ER to LAN Airlines.
