- ZCore Depth Cartridge Filter Technology, Other Technologies Help Industries Improve Product Quality, Reduce Impact on Water Resources
- GE's Brian Wise Set to Highlight GE's Advanced Reverse Osmosis Filtration Solution for Beverage Industry
LAS VEGAS, NEV.---March 6, 2012---GE (NYSE: GE) is participating in this week's WQA Aquatech 2012 conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where the company will showcase its ZCore depth cartridge filter technology and its broad product portfolio. This portfolio leverages equipment, chemistries and services to help commercial and industrial customers address their pressing water resource challenges.
The show, which runs March 6-9, is an important annual event for representatives of companies serving the process, drinking water and ultrapure water sectors for residential, commercial and industrial users.
Introduced in 2011, GE's ZCore depth cartridge filters offer improved performance, less downtime and reduced operating costs. These key benefits are important for extreme filtering applications since traditional cartridge filters are typically not effective. Such extreme applications include hot-water sanitizing, high-temperature process chemical streams, high-viscosity fluids, high-purity environments and very dirty streams where significant pressure drops can develop.
Key industrial customers that require enhanced water filtration technologies like ZCore include those in the food and beverage, microelectronics and other industrial sectors including power generation, chemical processing and hydrocarbon processing as well as wastewater remediation.
Other technologies featured by GE include depth filters using patented Z.Plex* technology, pressurized ultrafiltration modules, industrial reverse osmosis machines and E-Cell electrodeionization (EDI).
GE also will offer an AquaStage presentation during the conference by Brian Wise, who will discuss "Ultra Low Energy RO Membranes in a Beverage Facility" on March 7 from 1 p.m. to 1:25 p.m. in Room Aqua, Stage 2.
"We are excited to have the opportunity to showcase GE's advanced water filtration and processing solutions that are playing an important role in helping manufacturers increase the quality of their products while simultaneously reducing the impact on limited water resources," said Jeff Connelly, vice president, engineered systems---water and process technologies for GE Power & Water.
