GE Power Systems participates in Middle East General Electric Gas Turbine Users Conference; Exclusive forum provides platform for GE turbines users to address critical issues and benefit from technolo

Dubai, November 24, 2003: -- GE Power Systems, one of the world's leading providers of advanced turbine technology, has participated in the annual Middle East General Electric Gas Turbine Users Conference. As part of the exclusive forum, which provides GE turbine users in the Middle East with the unique opportunity to benefit from an invaluable exchange of information with other turbine users, GE Power Systems has shared with delegates the latest advancements in turbine technology from GE turbine specialists.

Held in Dubai, the two-day interactive conference featured numerous technical presentations and case studies by GE turbine customers from various industries. GE Power Systems' latest advances and innovations in gas turbines and repair technology was the focus of the conference's second day, with presentations from internationally acknowledged GE specialists.

"This event is considered a must-attend for our wide base of turbine users from across the Middle East. Users were able to increase their know-how on the operation and maintenance of gas turbines, practical techniques and proven strategies which can be applied on-site or off-shore," said Ehab Younis, Field Marketing Development Manager, GE Power Systems.

The conference was aimed at senior engineers, metallurgists, rotating equipment and control specialists, in addition to executive management from various industries including power generation and petrochemicals who had the opportunity to benefit from a series of case studies presentations and share knowledge via user group discussions.
