ATLANTA, GEORGIA (September 25, 2003) --- GE Power Systems has announced that its Network Reliability Services business will host a Users Conference specifically targeted for its network management and substation automation end users. The conference, which is tracked according to each discipline, will be held in New Orleans, La., at the Fairmont Hotel and will run from October 26 through October 29.

The conference brings together the annual users conferences of the former GE Network Solutions and Substation Automation businesses. After a joint opening session, the two conferences will split into separate educational programs. All educational programs and social events are open to every conference attendee.
Six conference tracks are scheduled for the network management portion of the business. Those tracks include T&D Network Asset Management, Communications Solutions, Mobile Solutions and Product Workshops, Imagination at Work, Technically Speaking and Energy Management/ XA/21™. Three conference tracks are scheduled for the substation automation portion of the business. Those tracks include T&D Automation Solutions, T&D Substation/Distribution Automation and T&D Substation Asset Management.
Jim Robertson, general manager for the GE Power Systems' Network Reliability Services business, will open the conference, followed by the conference keynote speaker, Steve Liesman, CNBC's senior economics reporter. The plenary session will also include special presentations from Jimmy Glotfelty, director of the Office of Electric Transmission and Distribution at the Department of Energy and Richard Lord, CEO of the Steadfast Group.
The conference will also have an Exhibition and Technology Showcase featuring world-class products, services and solutions from GE and complementary vendors.
