GE Oil & Gas awarded $30 million in surface equipment in Vietnam
Hai Thach - Moc Tinh project operated by Bien Dong POC Vietnam

GE Oil & Gas Drilling and Production Systems (Vetco Gray) has been awarded the contract to supply 16 sets of high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) surface wellhead and Christmas trees combined with associated equipment and services for Hai Thach - Moc Tinh project operated by Bien Dong POC Vietnam.

Hai Thach - Moc Tinh is the biggest offshore gas & condensate development project in Vietnam.

The estimated contract between Vetco Gray and Bien Dong POC valued at $30 million is for phase one of the Hai Thach - Moc Tinh development campaign in block 05-2 and block 05-3 offshore Vietnam. "

We are honored to supply the first high-tech equipment which is 350F temperature and 15,000psi for Vietnam to support and control pressure during the drilling operation and monitor casing annulus pressures during production. This is the biggest single contract for Vetco Gray for supplying surface wellhead and Christmas trees in Vietnam and compliments GE's leadership in providing sub-sea exploration wellheads in Vietnam," Sam Aquillano, vice president - Drilling & Production, GE Oil & Gas said.

Adding to GE Oil & Gas' recent win is the contract with Total Malaysia for ultra HPHT equipment (450F and 15,000psi).
