Golfsmith Card Offered Through Retailers and Online Store

DAYTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE Money's Sales Finance unit and Golfsmith, the largest golf retailer that designs and markets custom-fit golf clubs and golf club components, have introduced the Golfsmith Card through its more than 70 retailers and online store.

The private label credit program enables golf and tennis enthusiasts to choose from two card designs, one for each sport. Both cards provide online account management, flexible financing options, promotional credit terms, advance sales notices and exclusive discounts on a wide variety of golf and tennis equipment, apparel, accessories and other related merchandise.

"It will help increase our brand awareness and increase sales for our retailers while offering our customers an easier way to make their purchases."

Sporting goods spending has continued to experience robust growth, with golf following exercise equipment as the biggest sporting goods purchase.(a) Women are the fastest-growing segment of the golfing population. Golf products specifically designed for women and juniors have been developed, which has helped increase interest in golf equipment and attracted new players.
