The improved site features better navigation and organization, enabling users to access information with greater speed. It also includes more content to improve transparency and provide investors with more comprehensive and relevant information.
"This is consistent with our goal of continuously improving our disclosure," said GE CFO Keith Sherin. "We used the best tools available on the web to give our investors improved access to important information about GE."
Other significant improvements include:
-- New home page features, including a spotlight on one of GE's 11 businesses -- New tools to assist with investor analysis, including an interactive GE stock performance chart and downloadable financial statements -- New navigation tabs dedicated to Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility -- Transcripts of quarterly earnings conference calls in six languages -- A Calendar of Events with a "Remind Me" Email Alert feature, allowing users to be notified of earnings releases, investor events, and other news updates -- Expanded information for fixed-income investors designed to better assist GE and GE Capital bondholders
GE invented the investor relations function more than 50 years ago. Since then GE's Investor Communications group has received numerous investor-voted awards for its work.
