Fairfield, CT, November 6, 2007 -- GE (NYSE: GE) announced today that it plans to hold its 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareowners on April 23, 2008 in Erie, Pennsylvania. The meeting is expected to be held at the Bayfront Convention Center.
GE convenes its annual meeting at a different site each year in order to highlight the performance of a certain business and to illustrate the diversity and strength of the Company's business portfolio.
GE Transportation produces the world's most advanced locomotives in Erie, while the Company has 13 total sites around the state, including operations for GE Industrial, Infrastructure and Commercial Finance. Across Pennsylvania, GE employs approximately 9,000 people.
