New Delhi, December 8, 2006 - GE Healthcare introduced today its new electrocardiograph unit, the MAC 3500, in its MAC® product line of resting ECG analysis systems at the annual meeting of the Cardiological Society of India, 2006.
Ideal for basic 12-lead resting ECG analysis, the MAC 3500 system delivers technology to help clinicians improve reliability and accuracy in cardiac assessments, while also helping to increase productivity and efficiency.
"The MAC 3500 is a great addition to our product line of electrocardiographs. The ECG continues to be an important diagnostic tool for cardiovascular disease because of its ability to non-invasively identify the presence and severity of heart disease. The ECG provides an efficient and cost-effective solution for caregivers spanning pre-hospital to hospital environments. We are confident that clinicians will be pleased with the overall design, functionality, and utility of our new GE electrocardiograph to support them in their practice," said Ganesh Prasad, Vice President, GE Healthcare Clinical Systems.
The MAC 3500 includes GE's clinically proven Marquette ECG analysis programs:
An optional communications package with GE's MUSE® cardiology information system helps streamline workflow and helps increase functionality. Barcode and magnetic card reader options help reduce errors and help improve workflow by automating data input and patient identification.
