GE Energy Names Kishore Jayaraman to Lead India Region

NEW DELHI, INDIA -- Aug 2 nd, 2007 --- GE Energy today announced that Kishore Jayaraman has been appointed Region Executive for India. Jayaraman, an 18-year GE veteran, had been leading GE Energy's Power Generation sales activity for the region.

"In his new role, Kishore will be responsible for driving GE Energy's growth and execution in the region across the entire GE Energy portfolio," said James N. Suciu, President of Global Sales for GE Energy. "Under his leadership, GE Energy has established a solid foundation for the sustained growth of our Power Generation business in India."

Jayaraman started his GE career in 1989 as a process automation engineer in Salem, Virginia, U.S.A. Since then he has held a variety of leadership roles in Engineering, Project Management, Commercial Operations and Sales. In 2005, he moved to New Delhi, India, as Power Generation Region Manager. Jayaraman holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia.

GE Energy's activity in India dates back to 1902 when the company installed India's first hydro power plant. The business now employs more than 1,400 people in the country. GE Energy supports the India region from sales, service and engineering offices in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Jayaraman will be based at GE Energy's regional headquarters in New Delhi. GE Energy is a part of the GE Infrastructure portfolio.
