KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE Energy has expanded its offering in the filtration industry with the introduction of its Aspire™ product line for micro-filtration applications.
GE Energy's Aspire micro-filtration media protects processes and equipment and is manufactured from expanded polytetrafluoroethylen (ePTFE). The microporous structure of Aspire media allows gas transmission while providing a reliable, long-lasting barrier from liquid, dust and other contaminants for a variety of industrial applications where liquid penetration resistance and dust control are important.
"Achieving the demanding quality requirements of micro-filtration customers is a significant milestone," said Daniel Heintzelman, president of GE Energy's services business. "We are pleased to offer our Aspire product line to a broad range of customers across the filtration industry."
GE Energy is a leading global manufacturer of ePTFE membranes. Originally developed and marketed for use in GE Energy's particulate matter filtration products, the business has expanded to offer patented ePTFE membranes and laminate solutions for a wide variety of filtration and separation applications, dustproof, permeable films, waterproof breathable fabrics and technical laminates.
GE is continuing to develop its Aspire media for a broad range of applications in packaging, protective venting and other micro-filtration products.
