Dubai, April 14, 2004: The Appliance division of GE Consumer and Industrial recently held a series of regional service seminars in key Middle East locations, including the UAE, to train more than 150 service managers and technicians from across the region. Service specialists, specializing in the maintenance and repair of GE appliances, had the opportunity to benefit from a two-day seminar, held in Dubai, focusing on advanced service techniques for GE's latest product range.
Supported by the exclusive GE Appliances distributor in the UAE, Juma Al Majid Establishment, two international trainers conducted the workshop which was attended by more than 50 representatives from its after-sales service team in addition to service managers and technicians from Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Iraq. As part of the workshop, new diagnosis and repair techniques in addition to innovative electronic repairing tools were introduced. Techniques specifically tailored for GE's new dishwashers and Profile refrigeration models Quantum and Arctica, were also highlighted as part of the training exercise.

In its effort to enhance service techniques provided by its distributors throughout the Middle East, service experts highlighted new advanced technologies used in GE's latest range of refrigerators, such as the adaptive defrost control systems, and appropriate service procedures. Upon the completion of the technical workshop, participants received certificates from GE Appliance's technical division.
