NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 2006--GE Commercial Finance - Corporate Lending today announced that Senior Managing Director Joseph F. Nemia has been elected as the new President of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA).
Founded in 1944, the CFA is the trade group of the asset-based financial services industry, with members throughout the U.S., Canada and around the world. Members include the asset-based lending arms of domestic and foreign commercial banks, small and large independent finance companies, floor plan financing organizations, factoring organizations and financing subsidiaries of major industrial corporations.
Mr. Nemia joined GE Commercial Finance in 1992 and has been instrumental in building its Corporate Lending arm into a leading North American provider of financial solutions for middle-market companies. During his tenure, Mr. Nemia delivered seven consecutive years of growth for the East Region while establishing Corporate Lending in key areas such as restructuring, retail, steel & diversified metals, automotive, transportation and the second lien market. Mr. Nemia was recently named head of Specialty Finance, where he will continue to lead Corporate Lending's restructuring, retail and transportation efforts while building new competencies in project finance and securitization.
