GE Commercial Finance appoints Sandeep Agarwal as the Vice President & Head - Leveraged & Sponsor Finance

New Delhi, July 6, 2007 --- GE Commercial Finance announced the appointment of Sandeep Agarwal as Vice President & Head - Leveraged & Sponsor Finance. Sandeep will be responsible for covering Private Equity Sponsors, Structuring and closing leveraged and other Structured Finance transactions with Private Equity firms, working closely with the Hong Kong based team and the India/ Asia capital markets teams as well.

Sandeep joins GE from BNP Paribas where he was Managing Director for media and telecom finance / leveraged finance group, based out of Singapore. His responsibility spanned from origination and structuring of transactions, credit analysis, relationship management and coverage of financial sponsors, media & telecom clients and providing industry expertise to other parts of the Bank. Prior to this, he has worked with Motorola Singapore as Head Structured Finance for Indian Sub continent, and with ICICI in Project Finance. Sandeep has over 15 years of work experience.

His skills, experience and track record will significantly enhance our capabilities as he will work closely with our regional and global distribution teams, to serve Indian corporate and private equity sponsor customers on domestic and outbound acquisitions", said Stephen Ezekiel, Senior Managing Director, GE Corporate Financial Services, Asia.

"We are one of the leading leveraged & sponsor lenders globally. We are now building a full service pan-Asia platform, having participated or underwritten numerous leveraged deals in the past 18 months, and have recently stepped up to the 'lead arranger' roles", he added.

Sandeep will be based out of Gurgaon and will report to Stephen Ezekiel and Tejpreet S Chopra.

Sandeep is an alumni of IIM - A (Batch 1992) with specialization in Finance and Economics. He has also passed the graduate exams from Institute of Cost & Works Accountants and is currently an associate member.
