Builds on 22 Years of Successful Financing Options for Florida's Leading Furniture Retailer
GE Capital Retail Bank has announced a multi-year agreement to continue providing financing for customers of Florida's top-selling furniture retailer, City Furniture. GE Capital's Retail Finance business, the operating entity that provides financial solutions to retailers and dealers to help grow their customer sales, will continue to manage the City Furniture relationship and service the account.
The City Furniture credit card program, which originated in 1990, provides approved consumers with flexible financing options such as extended-term financing and access to enhanced online account management tools. Customers can use their City Furniture credit card at any store location for purchases of home furnishing products, including mattresses, outdoor furnishings, and dining and living room furniture. With 15 City Furniture and nine Ashley HomeStores showrooms, the furniture retailer is one of the fastest-growing in the Southeast.
"GE Capital has been a key partner, playing an integral role in our growth over the years," said Garry Ikola, senior vice president of Sales for City Furniture. "They're expertise and support has been important to our evolution, expansion and ability to continue delivering a great customer experience."
For more than 75 years, GE Capital's Retail Finance business has provided billions of dollars in consumer financing through more than 200,000 small- and mid-sized businesses throughout the United States. GE Capital is a leading provider of consumer credit in the Home Furnishings industry, where it has operated for more than 60 years.
"For nearly two decades, we've had the opportunity to work with City Furniture to build their business and enhance the options they provide their customers," said Rob Krause, vice president, Home Furnishings, for GE Capital's Retail Finance business. "We're proud to continue this journey and bring new programs, tools and technology to their stores."
