Scott Rowland has been named managing director of GE Capital Real Estate - Canada. He assumes management of the company's growing Canadian lending business with a mandate to expand GE's presence in the real estate lending market. Scott brings 18 years of financial experience and business leadership to the role.
Over the course of his career, Scott has held numerous positions within the real estate business, including originations, underwriting and asset management. For the past three years, Scott has been the commercial leader in Canada. He and his team have been responsible for record growth in 2013.
Scott joined GE in 1996 through the Canadian Financial Management Program and served on GE's Corporate Audit Staff where he worked with several GE Capital and industrial businesses across the world.
Scott holds an honors Commerce degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He succeeds Bradley J. Trotter who led the Canadian business for three years before being named president of GE Capital Real Estate -- North America.
