Inclusion highlights GE Capital's ongoing commitment to flexible working for employees
London, 26 November 2012: GE Capital has been recognised in the UK's first ever Power Part Time list -- a prestigious list outlining the most senior part time workers across the country. Published in the Financial Times, the list has been compiled by specialist jobsite Timewise Jobs and highlights how it is possible to work part time at top levels in UK business and industry.
The list of individuals, which features Joanna Wright, Risk Strategy and Implementation Manager for GE Capital EMEA, was compiled based on a nationwide public nomination process. Judges then ranked a shortlist of 50 deemed to be the most outstanding.
Roshni Haywood, Senior HR Manager at GE Capital EMEA, commented: "Offering access to flexible working is an important element in GE Capital's approach to increasing diversity at all levels within our business, and has enabled us to increase the number of women in leadership positions throughout our business".
I'm very proud to see Joanna's achievements recognised. She continues to be a great role model for colleagues striving to achieve excellence at work around their other major life commitments."
In April, GE was named as a top 50 employer for women by The Times, and was also recognised in the individual awards, with Roshni Haywood, Senior HR Director at GE Capital, winning "The Directing Diverse Talent Award" at the Opportunity Now awards.
Across EMEA, GE Capital has also been recognised for its diversity efforts through winning awards such as the Great Place To Work's Top 20 Employer in Switzerland; Women Matter's Top 5 Companies in Czech Republic and Top Employers 2012 in Poland. GE Capital has also installed a dedicated diversity lead for EMEA.
