November issue cites banks with the highest interest rate and no transaction fees or minimum balances

SALT LAKE CITY, UT --- GE Capital Bank's online bank, launched earlier this year, was named a best savings account in the U.S. in MONEY® magazine's "Best Banks 2013" list.

The magazine's November issue examines retail banks, online banks and credit unions based on research by financial services consulting firm Novantas. GE Capital Bank offered one of the highest interest rates of all online accounts surveyed with no transaction fees and no minimum balance requirements.

"We are focused on helping our customers reach their savings goals with better rates, better service and a convenient website," said Chris Favilla, U.S. Deposits Leader of GE Capital Bank. "We're excited to get this recognition from Money® magazine as it acknowledges the value to today's investors of offering these straightforward benefits."
