HONG KONG, November 15, 2011 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing unit of GE, announced delivery of a new Airbus A320 aircraft to a new low-cost carrier in Japan, Peach Aviation.
The aircraft comes from GECAS' existing order book with Airbus and is the first aircraft in the start-up airline's fleet. It is the first of 10 A320s Peach is leasing from GECAS.
Peach Aviation was established by All Nippon Airways (ANA), First Eastern Investment Group (First Eastern) in Hong Kong and Innovation Network Corporation of Japan. The Osaka-based company will start operations from Kansai airport in March 2012, first on domestic routes, and then internationally across Asia.
