GE Appoints Two Company Officers

FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE today announces the appointment of two new company officers. GE currently has 187 GE officers globally. GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth

Below is the list of GE's two new officers:

Samuel R. Aquillano, 51, is vice president, Drilling and Production Systems -- GE Oil & Gas, a division of GE Energy Infrastructure. During his 31 years at GE, Aquillano has held several positions in GE's Transportation business as well as within GE's Energy segments.

After completing GE's Financial Management Program in 1984, he joined GE Transportation and held roles of increasing responsibility in finance, marketing and sales.

Prior to his current role, he led global sourcing for GE Energy and acquisition integrations at GE Oil & Gas. Aquillano holds a Bachelors degree in business management and a Masters degree in business administration from Gannon University in Erie, PA.

Eric H. Ducharme, 48, is vice president, Global Technology -- GE Transportation, a business within GE Technology Infrastructure. Since joining GE in 1987, Ducharme worked on the development of the GE90 aircraft engine system powering the Boeing 777 and went on to become the general manager of the commercial engines engineering department at GE Aviation.

Most recently, he was the chief technology officer at GE Enterprise Solutions, a business within GE Technology Infrastructure. Between 2003 and 2005, Ducharme served as general manager of locomotive engineering at GE Transportation and was responsible for the successful launch of Transportation's best-selling product, the Evolution Series locomotive.

Ducharme holds a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University and Masters and Doctorate degrees in aerospace engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
