GE Appoints Three New Company Officers

FAIRFIELD, Conn.--()--GE today announces the appointment of three new company officers. GE currently has 198 GE officers globally who lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.

Below are the details of the new officers:

Puneet Mahajan, 37, has been appointed vice president and chief risk officer at GE Corporate. In this role, he reports to Keith Sherin, vice chairman and chief financial officer and Geoff Beattie, member of the GE Board of Directors and chair of the Risk Committee. Mahajan is also now a member of the GE Capital Board.

Previously, he was CFO for GE in India, where he played a key role in driving the growth strategy for GE India. Mahajan joined GE over 13 years ago as a participant in the Financial Management Program (FMP) and worked in various roles with the Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) and GE Capital.

Mahajan earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the Punjab University in India and also holds an MBA degree, majoring in Accounting and Economics, from the GOA Institute of Management, India.

Banmali Agrawala, 48, has been named President and CEO for GE Energy in India, effective December 1. Agrawala will be responsible for driving profitable growth for the business in India, reporting to John Flannery, president & CEO of GE India. In this role, he will lead the entire portfolio of Energy businesses in India --- Power and Water, Energy Management and Oil & Gas --- with leaders of these businesses reporting to him.

Agrawala brings a deep understanding of the Indian power industry as well as the global renewables industry. He has over 24 years of experience in the energy space, having held several senior positions in industrial companies. Most recently, Agrawala was executive director for Strategy and Business Development at Tata Power Company Limited, India, and also served on the company's board of directors. Prior to joining Tata Power, he worked with Wartsila, where he held several leadership positions both in India and Europe, ultimately serving as the managing director of the company in India for five years.

Agrawala holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mangalore University.

Richard Hausmann, 51, has been named vice president and general manager, Magnetic Resonance, GE Healthcare, effective January 1, 2012.

Hausmann will join GE from Siemens where he was most currently the CEO of the company's Smart Grid Applications and E-Mobility project for Siemens AG Energy. Prior to this role, he led the Siemens business in China and northeast Asia for five years. He also served as the president and CEO, Computed Tomography for the Siemens Medical Solutions Group and led the Medical Engineering Group as the VP of Strategy, Marketing and Sales & Product Planning.
