GE Appoints Three Company Officers

FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 29, 2005--GE today announces the appointment of three new company officers.

Laura G. King, 42, is Global Vice President, Interventional, Cardiology & Surgery for GE Healthcare, based in Waukesha, Wisconsin. King has been in her current role since March 2004. A 20-year GE veteran, King was General Manager of Sourcing, for GE Healthcare from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, she was General Manager of Services for the Northeast Region of the United States. In 1995, King was the business leader for Healthcare's Global Mammography segment. King also held a series of roles in Finance and Operations within GE's industrial segment from 1991-1994. Additionally, King was a 4 year member of the GE Corporate Audit Staff. King received her Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of California at Davis in 1985.

Alan M. Leung, 46, is Vice President, GE- Plastics, Pacific, overseeing operations in Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, and the Southeast Asian countries. Leung has over 20 years of global experience in the plastics industry, first with Borg Wong Chemicals and then GE. Leung has had a series of roles in sales, marketing and product development since he started with GE in 1983. Most recently, Leung has been President of Greater China for Plastics since July 2004. Prior to that, Leung was Marketing Director for Plastics - Pacific, a role he held from July 2003 to September 2004. Before that, Leung was Global Lexan Commercial Director for Plastics from September 2002 to July 2003. He was Managing Director, Plastics, Southeast Asia from August 2000 to September 2002. Leung received his Masters in Business Administration from Queens University in Canada in 1996 and his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Queens University in 1982.

Olivier Piani, 51, is President, Real Estate, Europe, GE Commercial Finance, a role he has had since 2002. In this role, Piani oversees operations for GE's real estate across the region. Piani started with GE in 1998 as President of Operations in France for the Real Estate component of Commercial Finance. Piani came to GE from UIC Sofal in Paris where he was a General Manager from 1995 to 1998. Before that, he was a Senior Vice President of Sales for Banque Paribas, also in Paris. Piani received his Masters in Business Administration from Stanford University in 1981 and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris in France in 1977.
