FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 2006--GE today announces the appointment of three new company officers.
Michael J. Barber, 45, is Vice President of Technology, Diagnostic Imaging & Chief Technology Officer, GE Healthcare. Prior to this role, he was the General Manager of Technology, Diagnostic Imaging, a role he began in May 2005. A 25-year GE veteran, Barber started with GE in 1981 and has had a variety of roles within GE Healthcare. In 2001, Barber was General Manager for Components Engineering and from 2002 to 2005, he was the General Manager for Global Components Operations for Healthcare. Barber received his Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1982.
Robert C. Green, 38, is Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, GE Money, Americas. He has been CFO for the Americas since March 2006. From April 2004 to March 2006, Green was the Chief Financial Officer for the Bio-Sciences unit within GE Healthcare. Prior to this role, Green served in successive financial services finance roles including Manager of the GE Capital Audit Staff, CFO for European Equipment Finance and CFO for Americom. Green started with GE in 1992 as a member of the Company's Financial Management Program and served six years in the GE Corporate Audit Staff. A 16-year GE veteran, Green received his Bachelors' degree in Finance from the University of Maryland in 1990.
Nancy S. Loewe, 39, is Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Consumer & Industrial, GE Industrial. Loewe has been CFO for Consumer & Industrial since August 2005. A 17-year GE veteran, Loewe has global experience with GE and has had a number of finance roles within GE Healthcare and GE Industrial. From 2002 to 2005, Loewe was Chief Financial Officer for GE Plastic's Pacific pole, based in Shanghai, China. Prior to that she was CFO for Healthcare Services within GE Healthcare. From December 2000 to 2001, Loewe was Finance Manager for the Americas at GE Healthcare. Loewe began with GE in 1989 as a member of the Company's Financial Management Program and spent three years on the Company's Corporate Audit Staff. Loewe received her Bachelors' degree in Business Management from University of Massachusetts in 1989.
