FAIRFIELD, Conn.--- September 21, 2010 -- GE today announces the appointment of one new company officer. GE currently has 197 GE officers globally. GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Below are details on GE's new officer:
Colleen Athans, 50, has been named vice president of Assembly, Test and Overhaul in the GE Aviation Supply Chain. Athans has held numerous leadership roles across GE's Aviation business throughout her 27 years at GE. Prior to her current role, Athans was general manager of Aviation's CF6 Commercial Engines and Services. She was also plant leader of the Durham Engine Facility and general manager of Rotating Parts Center of Excellence. Athans earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University.
