FAIRFIELD, Conn.--22 March 2011-- GE today announces the appointment of a new company officer. GE currently has 193 GE officers globally. GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Below are details on GE's new officer:
Karl S. Fessenden, 48, has been appointed vice president of Power Generation Services, Energy Services, a business of GE Energy. In this position, he will be responsible for developing and executing a growth strategy to position the division, which was recently created following the merger of Contractual Services and Power Services. The business develops and executes solutions to empower customers in the power generation sector to control cost, drive productivity and improve efficiency.
Fessenden has been with GE for 14 years and most recently served as general manager for Power Generation Services. He also served as general manager of Contractual Services, Parts and Repairs Services, Managing Director of GE Aircraft Engine Services and integration manager for the former GE Technology Infrastructure business.
Fessenden received his masters in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York and his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Vermont.
