LOUISVILLE, Ky.-April 13, 2016-(NYSE:GE)-Four of GE’s popular refrigerators are moving production to the company’s Selmer, Tennessee manufacturing plant, where GE Appliances has built its trusted Monogram® Series built-in dispenser refrigerators for years.
The move marks significant new investment in GE’s domestic manufacturing. The product lines include:
- GE Café™ Series 42” Built-In, Side-By-Side Refrigerator (CSB42WSKSS)
- GE Café Series 48” Built-In, Side-By-Side Refrigerator (CSB48WSKSS)
- GE Profile™ Series 42” Built-In, Side-By-Side Refrigerator with Dispenser (PSB42YSKSS)
- GE Profile Series 48” Built-In, Side-By-Side Refrigerator with Dispenser (PSB48YSKSS)
Both Profile Series refrigerators will also include sourcing upgrades, featuring water-and-ice dispensers manufactured at GE’s Appliance Park in Louisville.
Additional features for the units include:
- LED lighting for illumination without compromising space
- Advanced temperature-management systems with easy-to-read controls
- Humidity-controlled drawers to preserve fruits, cheeses and vegetables
The Café and Profile Series built-in refrigerators additionally complete GE Appliances’ impressive offering of built-in products, helping consumers achieve a complete built-in kitchen with those lines.
