FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 2004--GE today announced the appointment of Caroline Reda as a Company Officer. Reda was named President & CEO, GE Infrastructure, Sensing, earlier this month.
Reda, 41, started her GE career in 1984 and has had a succession of roles within GE Energy. Most recently, she was President & General Manager, Energy Parts. In 2001, Reda led Energy Rentals, which provides distributed power rentals around the world. In 2000, she was President and Chief Operating Officer, Global Nuclear Fuel Americas, LLC, a joint venture consisting of GE, Hitachi and Toshiba. In this role, she led business operations in Europe and the Americas.
Reda received her Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1985 and her Masters of Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1993.
