GE Aero Energy Products and GE Aeroderivative and Package Services Announce Organization Alignment

May 16, 2003

HOUSTON, TEXAS (May 16, 2003) --- GE Power Systems announced that effective May 1, 2003 the Aero Energy Products (AEP) business and the Aeroderivative and Package Services (APS) business were brought together under the leadership of Richard Stewart. The Aeroderivative and Package Services business had previously reported into the Energy Services business of Power Systems. The new business, GE Aero Energy, will be headquartered in Houston, Texas.
The change is designed to more closely integrate the packaging and services businesses with the goal of increasing the focus on aeroderivative technology, customer responsiveness and achieving synergies through the leveraging of common resources.
"We believe this change will better align the aeroderivative businesses," said Rick Stewart, President of GE Aero Energy. "It will allow us to improve the leverage of common technologies and engineering resources, ultimately enhancing the products and services provided to our customers."
Dan Werrell has been named as acting GM of GE APS, replacing Jim Robertson who will become GM of GE's Automation and Network Services reporting to Ric Artigas. Dan Werrell was previously GM of APS Depot and Asset Management, responsible for integration of several acquisitions, and driving significant improvements in depot operations and turn time.
