GE Acquires Infographic Systems, Leaders in Secure, Access Control and Digital Video Products

PLAINVILLE, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 2002--

GE continues rapid growth in $20 billion global electronic security products market

GE Industrial Systems, a division of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), and Infographic Systems, a privately held company, announced today that GE has acquired Infographic Systems.

Infographic Systems is a leading provider of access control products and systems for electronic security and premise management. The company is headquartered in Garden Grove, CA.

The strength of Infographic Systems product portfolio includes electronic access control, alarm monitoring, facilities control, photo badging and video imaging offerings.

The company's products feature interchangeability of field devices such as card readers, field panels, and remote alarm input and output devices, allowing the user to upgrade system controllers, as the system requirements grow.

GE is continuing its rapid expansion in electronic security, a $20 billion industry with robust growth ahead of it for the future, said Lloyd Trotter, president and CEO, GE Industrial Systems.

Infographic Systems brings to GE expanded product offerings for electronic access control and premise management, and is a great complement to our GE Interlogix technologies.
