WHAT: GE - Transportation will unveil its first, demonstration hybrid freight locomotive on Thursday, May 24th. The unit will be one of many products manufactured by GE for the rail industry, designed to reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency.
Other products on display will include an Evolution Series locomotive, anti-idling technology and train optimization software. Experts from GE and Class I railroads will be on hand to answer questions.
This exhibit is part of GE's ecomagination event taking place at Universal Studios on Thursday.
