DeltaBank Launches Mobile Kiosks to Issue Visa Classic Credit Cards at Six Moscow Ramstore Supermarkets

January 12, 2006

January 12, 2006, Moscow -- ZAO DeltaBank (a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Consumer Finance, a unit of General Electric Company) announced the opening of mobile kiosks at as many as six Moscow supermarkets of the Ramstore chain, one of the leaders of the Moscow retail trade market. The coming of DeltaBank to Ramstore has become a result of the bilateral agreement between the bank and Ramenka managing company that had been negotiated during 2005. In the last week of 2005, DeltaBank kiosks began serving customers at the chain's stores located at the following addresses: Pravoberezhnaya st., 1; Sheremetyevskaya st., 60A; Yartsevskaya st., 19; Miklukho-Maklaya st., 32A; Kashirskoye shosse, 61B. In the next few days a kiosk will be opened for business at Ramstore-Maryino on Novocherkassky Boulevard. In the nearest future, the bank intends to have its points of sale opened in each and every Ramstore market in Moscow.

The kiosk is a mobile stand in the store's trade area where the bank's employee accepts applications from clients for the Visa Classic credit card, takes on-the-spot photos of the customer's papers and sends the information off to the head office. The decision on the issue of a credit card usually takes 7 working days to make. In case of a positive decision, the client receives his credit card at the Tishinsky office of DeltaBank at Gruzinsky pereulok, 4

CEO of DeltaBank Richard Gaskin emphasized that "DeltaBank is Russia's leader in the issue of Visa revolving credit cards. As of today, the bank has issued over 290,000 of these cards to customers. By opening points of sale at the Ramstore chain of supermarkets we are confident that our experience will help us achieve solid results in the promotion of DeltaBank's classic Visa credit cards among Russian consumers."

According to the head of DeltaBank's public relations department Mikhail Loskutov, mobile kiosks are a new form of interaction between the bank and its potential customers. The main objective of these kiosks is promotion of Visa Classic credit cards by attracting new clients among customers at Ramstore shopping malls. The kiosks are supplied with information materials (brochures and leaflets) describing the credit product. At the same time, bank employees are trained to give potential customers any clarifications on the benefits and particularities of using DeltaBank Visa Classic credit cards. "During the year, DeltaBank will keep informing customers in due time about the launch of new points of sale as soon as they open for business" -- Loskutov said.

Founded in 1997, DeltaBank provides a variety of consumer finance products through branches and more than 100 imbedded points of sale in established retail outlets, such as IKEA and other major retailers. DeltaBank is a leading issuer of Visa Cards in the Russian market, with over 290,000 credit cards issued. In addition to bank cards, DeltaBank also provides personal loans and sales finance. The bank has representative offices in Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Chelyabinsk, Samara and St. Petersburg.
