Carvin Music Plugs Into GE For Consumer Credit Program; GE's Retail Sales Finance Unit to Back PLCC

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 27, 2005

The Retail Sales Finance unit of GE Consumer Finance announced today that it has signed a five-year agreement with Carvin Music to provide private label credit card services to its customers.

Carvin Music, headquartered in San Diego, Calif., is a manufacturer and retailer of custom guitars, amplifiers and professional audio equipment.

The company sells its products from four company-owned stores located in Southern California., as well as on the Internet and via catalog.

The family-owned company has been in business for 60 years. Partnering with GE is an important step in the continuing growth of our company, said Carson Kiesel, CEO of Carvin Music.

An excellent consumer financing program is essential because customers need flexible payment options. With GE's program, we can offer deferred interest and other special promotions. It's a great way to prompt more sales and we believe it will give us a real competitive advantage.
