Appointment Underpins Focus on Risk Management at GE ERC
OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 2002--Shane Wright has been named Global Risk and Underwriting Leader for GE Employers Reinsurance Corporation's (ERC) newly formed Global Property and Casualty business unit.
Wright will be responsible for aligning GE ERC's P&C risk and underwriting approach, including the underwriting process and infrastructure, underwriting development and audit, as well as driving compliance.
Shane brings extensive analytical and process skills and global business experience to our team, said Rick Smith, Chief Executive Officer for GE ERC's Global P&C unit. We see combining the Risk Management and Underwriting process roles as a natural fit giving us clearer focus on both policy and execution, Smith continued.
Wright joined ERC in July of 2000 as Global Financial Planning and Analysis Leader. He started his career with GE in 1988 and has held a number of executive positions with GE businesses in Europe and Asia. He spent a period of time on the GE Corporate Audit Staff. Wright is a graduate of Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
