GE Infrastructure's GE Fanuc Automation division has recently won two significant technology innovation awards from two different leading publications for its Proficy solution.
This is according to Daniel Coetzee, Business Manager for the GE Fanuc Automation division in Sub-Saharan Africa.
These two technology innovation awards are:
"The awards add to the momentum gained by the IAN Automation Excellence Award that was given to the Proficy family back in August 2004," Coetzee maintains.
According to Robert J. Vavra, Editor of Plant Engineering magazine, "The Plant Engineering Product of the Year Awards were established to honour the most innovative and useful products introduced to the industrial plant engineering market each year. Initial entries are screened by a panel of plant engineers for publication in Plant Engineering magazine, and readers are invited to vote on their choices for the best products. Winning this award is a significant accomplishment of which (the GE Fanuc Automation division) can be justly proud."
Editors selected GE Fanuc for the Control Engineering Editors' Choice Award based on the company's technological advancement, service to the industry, and industry impact.
"At GE Fanuc, we're honoured to receive awards from this prestigious industry publication and to be recognized for the technology driving our Proficy software solution around the world," Coetzee concludes.
