Imagine not having to plan for generational upgrades. Imagine making leaps in capability without re-engineering. You should be able to maximise the benefits of your application first and optimise your automation platform second.
The new controller platform and family from GE Fanuc Automation delivers on this philosophy. To underline this fact, it has recently received international acknowledgement of that delivery, with the receipt of the prestigious European Control Engineering Award for 2003.
This is according to Daniel Coetzee, business manager, Sub-Saharan Africa for GE Fanuc Automation.
"We are really proud that the PACSystems solution is already receiving this level of industry recognition. It is the controller environment, based on the Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) concept, that combines flexibility, openness, and performance without the historical burden of migration path and conversion," Coetzee maintains.
According to Coetzee, the new controller platform and family truly amounts to the following:
"Driven by CIMPLICITY Machine Edition development software, PACSystems provides companies with unprecedented freedom in application mobility and effectiveness," he concludes.
