3Install the Application Development ToolsBefore you can develop applications on the Predix platform, you must install the appropriate software on your local machine.

4Define Proxy ConnectionsYou may need to configure your proxy settings to access remote resources.

5Set up Access to Predix GitHub RepositoryYou can set up access to the PredixDev repository to access the sample Predix applications and sample code.

6Install and Configure MavenYou can use Maven to work with the Predix sample applications and code libraries to build Java projects.
