About User Experience Monitoring

GE Digital uses a third-party service provided by FullStory, Inc. to collect detailed user experience information, which may include personally identifiable information. This information is used for the following purposes:

  • To evaluate user experience measures.
  • To identify user experience improvement opportunities.
  • To evaluate the impact of product changes on user experience.
  • To assist in troubleshooting user-reported issues.

Privacy, Security, and Data Retention

User experience information is stored and used in compliance with GE’s Privacy Policy and FullStory Inc.’s Privacy Policy. FullStory, Inc. certifies that it complies with GE’s privacy and security requirements for processing of personally identifiable information.

User experience information is retained for six months.

Availability

User Experience Monitoring is available for Predix Essentials in the AWS US West and AWS EU Frankfurt hosting environments.

Allow User Experience Monitoring

About This Task

The first time that you log in to a Predix Essentials tenant where user experience monitoring is active, you will be asked to allow GE Digital to collect information about your experience. You can modify your user experience preference at any time.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Predix Essentials
    If you have not previously set a user analytics preference, a message banner appears requesting your permission to collect experience information.
  2. Select Allow to allow collection of your user experience information.
    Select Deny to prevent collection of your user experience information.
    Note: Your user experience monitoring preference is specific to a tenant.

Modify User Experience Monitoring Preferences

Procedure

  1. In the module navigation menu, select Admin, and then select User Preferences.
    Note:

    In the Predix Essentials module navigation menu, this menu option is labeled My Preferences and is located in the menu that appears when you select your user name.

  2. Select Privacy.
  3. Switch the Track Analytics toggle.
  4. Select Save.

User Experience Monitoring is enabled or disabled according to your preference

Disable User Experience Monitoring for a Tenant

About This Task

To disable User Experience Monitoring entirely for your tenant, submit a support request to GE Digital. After the user experience monitoring is disabled, no experience data is collected for any users of the tenant, regardless of the existing user preferences. The tenant usage patterns will not be included in usability and performance research studies, and GE Digital Support will not have access to experience information that could assist with issue resolution.
