Configuring Auto Recovery Backups

About this task

Automated backups ensure at least one known good Historian archive is maintained at all times.

Procedure

Start the Historian Admin app.
Select the Archives section.
Select the Global Options tab.
In the Archive Maintenance field, enable the Maintain Auto Recovery Backup Files option.
Note: Auto Recovery Backup Files are created only for tag data archives.

CAUTION: If the Auto Recovery Backup Files option is enabled in Historian, duplicates of all current archive files will be created. This will increase your storage overhead to twice that of the current archive.
