Jim Katzman is Senior Vice President, Business Development for GE. Appointed in October 2021, he is responsible for GE’s global portfolio strategy, M&A, divestitures, and paid partnership development initiatives.
Prior to joining GE, Jim was a partner and Head of M&A for the West Region at Goldman Sachs, where he specialized in M&A across a variety of industries. He serves as a Director of The Hershey Company and Brinker International, Inc. He is also on the boards of the Milton Hershey School, Hershey Trust Company, San Francisco Ballet, and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley in Arizona. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Board for the Program for Financial Studies at Columbia Business School, where he guest lectures on M&A topics.
Jim earned an AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was a Merit Fellow. He and his wife Sandy have four children and live in Paradise Valley, AZ.
