GE Canada's, Mississauga Headquarters building was awarded LEED-EB (LEED Existing Building) Certification through the US Green Building Council (USGBC) on February 14, 2008. This is the FIRST such certification in Ontario, and the FIRST GE site globally, to achieve EB Certification.

LEED is a Green Building Rating System designed to encourage and accelerate global adoption for achieving sustainability in new and existing green buildings. The rating system enables building owners and operators to measure and benchmark building performance, impact on the environment, and ways to increase efficiencies.
