Leslie is a Managing Director, Venture Investing. Based in Menlo Park, CA, she joined the GE Ventures in 2014.
Leslie focuses on investments in companies at the intersection of medical technology and IT that engage and enable the patient, provider, or other healthcare stakeholders. Her areas of interest include minimally invasive or noninvasive medical devices, mobile/digital health platforms, healthcare IT, big data/ AI tools for advanced clinical diagnostics, and emerging business models in the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care.
Before joining GE Ventures, Leslie was a General Partner at ONSET Ventures, where she focused on medical device investing. Prior to ONSET, Leslie spent 19 years as an operating executive at both large and venture-backed companies, including Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Medtronic CardioRhythm and Vice President of Marketing at Embolic Protection. She also held key positions at startups Nellcor (now Medtronic/Covidien), Ventritex (now St. Jude/Abbott), and Menlo Care (acquired by J&J), as well as GE's Healthcare division. She has extensive experience launching novel medical devices and procedures, defining strategies, and developing new markets and applications for both multinational and venture-backed startup companies.
Some of Leslie’s previously held board seats include Sadra Medical, Spinal Concepts, Neuronetics, and Relievant Medsystems. She has also served on advisory boards or as guest faculty at several universities, including Purdue University, Stanford University, and the University of California, Berkeley.
Leslie holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University.
