Negotiations between GE and the UAW and IAM continued this week with a focus on contract language related to economic and non-economic issues for our Evendale, OH and Erlanger, KY sites.
Today concludes the initial four weeks of bargaining between the parties. GE and the UAW and IAM will resume negotiations the week of June 12, 2023.
GE remains committed to working towards an agreement that continues competitive wages and benefits for employees while providing clarity and a stable environment for the company as it approaches the planned separation of GE Aerospace and GE Vernova.

On May 8, GE will sit down with both the UAM and IAM to continue negotiations on contract language related to economic and non-economic issues for our Evendale, OH and Erlanger, KY sites. Negotiations are ongoing.

Contract negotiations between GE and the UAW continued this week with a focus on local bargaining for our Erlanger, KY and Evendale, OH sites. During the week, both parties exchanged and discussed a variety of proposals specific to the UAW.
On May 1, GE will sit down with the IAM to continue negotiations for the Evendale, OH site. Negotiations with both the UAW and IAM are ongoing.

Today, GE and both the United Auto Workers (UAW) and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), representing employees at GE’s Evendale and Erlanger sites, concluded their first week of contract negotiations.
The Company provided a GE Aerospace overview and both parties made opening statements, exchanged contract language proposals, and held conversations around initial questions and comments. Negotiations between the parties are ongoing.

Today, GE employees who are members of the International Union of Electrical Workers – Communications Workers of America (IUE-CWA) voted to ratify a two-year extension of the national labor contract. Read more HERE.

GE and the International Union of Electrical Workers – Communications Workers of America (IUE-CWA) have reached a tentative agreement on a two-year extension of the national labor contract. The agreement is the outcome of regular meetings between GE and the IUE-CWA to discuss bargaining and as GE’s plans to become two independent businesses sometime in early 2024.
The agreement is now subject to a ratification vote by GE employees who are members of the IUE-CWA.
The IUE-CWA is the largest of the unions representing GE employees. Of GE’s 4750 unionized U.S. employees, there are approximately 3,000 employees represented by contracts with the IUE-CWA across both GE Aerospace and GE Vernova.
GE’s current labor contract expires on June 18, 2023.
