The Materials & Process Modeling Team combines the power of physics and data driven models along with information rich experiments for accelerated Discovery, Development, Deployment and Servicing of material and process solutions for all of GE's industrial businesses. Process models can enable improved understanding of process behavior, reduced design and development time and cost, and cost-out through improved yield. GE Research's material and process model experience encompasses polymers, metals, ceramics, and composites. Key application spaces include high-performance metallic, ceramic and composite materials for aero-engine and gas-turbines that have been processed using conventional as well as additive manufacturing.
