Biomedical X-ray and CT Imaging Lab

The Biomedical X-ray and CT Imaging lab includes:

• A state-of-the-art 256-slice Revolution CT scanner (Figure 1)
• A 64-slice Lightspeed VCT scanner (Figure 2)
• A prototype digital breast tomosynthesis system
• An Essential Mammography 3D breast imaging system
• An Optima mobile radiography station
• An Innova C-arm system
• A Lightspeed-16 CT scanner

In addition, the lab maintains several sets of image quality phantoms and anthropomorphic phantoms. The lab space is certified as a level 1 biosafety area.  All hardware capabilities are supported by experts in X-ray and CT imaging.
