After graduating with a B.S. in biochemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology, Nathan has spent his entire career in analytical chemistry. At the beginning of his career, he worked in biochemistry at a biotechnology company in Rensselaer, NY followed by several years analyzing environmental and hazardous waste samples at an environmental lab in Cohoes, NY. He then joined a research team at GE Research in 2010 where he worked in both the environmental lab and the elemental analysis lab. Within a few years, he was fully part of the elemental analysis team where he helped researchers and the businesses on several projects performing ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and IC on various materials including alloys, biologicals, and lighting phosphors. In 2016, he accepted a role closer to family where he sadly had to leave GE Research. He did however managed to work his way back into GE Research in 2018 after gaining experience in various other roles in nickel alloy manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. Nathan is happy to be back and continuing his career development at GE.
