Mike Kinstrey has over 30 years of experience architecting and implementing software solutions in a wide variety of technical and commercial domains. He began his career with the National Security Agency and later joined GE Research where he initially designed and built factory floor automation controllers and concurrent engineering tools. Mike then worked on a succession of digital video broadcasting controllers and schedulers for NBC, for which he received a Whitney Technical Achievement Award. He then developed a series of runtime platforms for financial simulations, crude oil processing optimizations, and application development frameworks. Mike was a key architect and developer for Digital Twin and Renewable Reservoir, the latter earning him a Whitney Technology Excellence Award. Most recently, he is architecting and implementing reusable platform services for the GE Additive BuildPrep application. Mike is a Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Certified Software Architecture Professional, and ScrumAlliance Certified ScrumMaster and Product Owner.
Mike enjoys flyfishing and playing funk/rock guitar in local bands.
