
Martin Brown
Martin Brown is the Technology Director of Biology & Applied Physics at GE Research. He leads a multidisciplinary organization of ~100 scientists developing advance medical imaging technologies, as well as tools for the biomanufacturing, biomedical research, and diagnostics. He also serves as the Healthcare Business Program Manager and is responsible for coordinating research efforts in support of GE’s Healthcare business and other customers and partners in the biomedical ecosystem.
Martin has been at GE for 10 years, and in his most recent role as the Technical Leader of Biosciences, he led GE Research’s Life Sciences focused technology development in a variety of areas including cell therapy, bioprocess, molecular diagnostics, industrial biology, and biologic sample preservation. He has more than 19 years of industrial R&D experience leading teams of exceptional scientists in technology and product development.
Martin received his Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire and Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut Health Center, specializing in Cellular Biology. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute’s Experimental Immunology Branch.
