Lisa Lowery is a Biologist with a current focus on gene modification of cell lines, vaccine delivery, and characterization of cells in brain tissue and neurodegenerative disease using the Cell DIVE multiplexed imaging technology, which was developed at GE Research. Lisa has spent her career at GE working on multidisciplinary teams, where she has developed and characterized in vitro and in vivo models of inflammation and oncology biomarkers. She has used various imaging modalities to design and evaluate contrast agents and material delivery methods, and has characterized rare cells in archived brain tissue.
Before her career at GE Research began in 2003, Lisa was a lab assistant at Albany Medical College, Albany, NY where she focused on oxidative stress and cell characterization. Lisa has served on two research ethics boards, one with GE Research and the other with The Sage Colleges. She is also is an active member of the GE Women's Network and leads many events that bring together and inspire women locally and across GE businesses.
