Karen Calhoun

As operations lean leader for GE Research, Karen leads a high impact, multi-function team focused on utilizing the lean methodology to develop standards and streamline GE Research’s processes. She works in partnership with the business’s project and program leaders and the leadership team to promote daily management and monthly operating reviews to drive continuous improvement across the Center and all of the organizations. In addition, she and her team manage and execute the Center planning process, systems, and tools associated to execute such.  

Prior to her current role, Karen held a variety of finance and operational roles at GE Research, including process execution leader and global controller. She has 20+ years of experience with GE and is a certified Quality Black Belt.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University. Upon graduation, she attained her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license while working in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Karen and her husband, Rob, reside in Ballston Lake, New York with their two daughters.
